Accidents and diseases are very common when we have children at home. Bumps, buried bones, sprains, flu, cough, stomach upset and diarrhea are some of them can. It is therefore very important that mothers know that we have in our first aid kit in every house must have a first aid kit and it is our responsability to investigate what we have on them.
It is important to ask our pediatrician which medications should always be at home to any emergency and as we acquire them, as have our well-stocked medicine cabinet prevent further troubles us in a moment that by itself it is in anguish.
Today I’ll share what I have researched that I have in my kit and medications that my doctor told me I should have. I think the trauma bags every family is different, because if you have a child with asthma or some specific disease should take other items, it is always good to discuss this with your own doctor.
What should be in trauma kits:
- A card with emergency phone numbers.
- A thermometer, either the traditional mercury or digital, digital is a good choice when you have children and you run the risk of breaking the traditional releasing mercury which is poisonous.
- Gauze
- A thin band
- Dressings
- Band-Aids
- Latex gloves hygienically to heal a wound immediately and without the need to run to wash and disinfect their hands.
- A bulb to remove mucus
- A small first aid manual
- Tweezers
- Syringes
- Cotton
- Alcohol
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Serum Oral
- Disinfectant
- Ointments for burns, shock, bites, burns and abrasions.
- Analgesics (Paracetamol. ..)
- Anti-inflammatories
- Bonadoxina (In cases of continued vomiting)
- Personal medication
As the name indicates, is the first aid kit, it is always important to see a doctor when we or our children are not in good health or have a wound.
